Warning: Keep Curlaway Gel out of your eyes. If eye contact occurs, flush with cool water immediately. Do not apply if scalp is sensitive or itchy. If scalp irritati5n occurs, wash off and discontinue use.
Curlaway Gel can be used on natural, dyed, or previously relaxed hair. If your hair is previously relaxed it’s best to do an intense conditioner between applications.
New Roller Method for Fastest Results: (Also see video at www.curlaway.com)
- Shampoo hair and optionally condition with a rinse-out conditioner. Towel dry.
- Divide hair into 4 – 6 sections.
- Working with one section at a time, part only enough hair for one roller and apply a small amount of Curlaway Gel with your fingertips. Then comb through and wrap hair around a roller.
NOTE: We recommend Velcro® rollers because they easily grip the hair. For best results, use
Hot Tools Professional Thermal Velcro® Rollers sold at Ulta or
CONAIR® metal-lined rollers sold at Rite Aid as their metal lining heats the hair better than other types.
- If your hair starts to dry out, spritz it or dampen it with water.
- Put a band of tissue or cotton under the rollers around your face to prevent any gel from dripping onto your forehead. Be sure to keep the gel out of your eyes.
- Stay under a bonnet dryer until your hair is completely dry – usually 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the dryer type and the length of your hair. If you use a blow dryer be sure that hot air reaches the outside and inside of the rollers. Warning: If you feel any scalp irritation, shut off the dryer and let hair air-dry without heat or remove the rollers and shampoo hair.
- When your hair is dry, take out the rollers and style your hair with your fingers and a comb or brush.
- To freshen your style or for a daily touchup, use a flat iron or curling iron.
- To remove frizz or for added shine, use a small amount of Curlaway as a leave-in styling gel.
- Repeat this roller method after each shampoo for continued relaxation of curl. With each application of Curlaway gel your hair will be smoother and more relaxed. If you stop using Curlaway it will eventually go back to its original curl.
